Questions...

Postby THA » Sat Mar 01, 2008 4:49 pm

Hello everyone,

I just started to use Baby Diary, so I'm new at it.
So maybe someone already asked the question.
(I checked the forum and I didn't find the answer)
(And I have a license, so all options are working)

I have some questions:

1. Is it possible to make my own chart? If yes, how?
I think I found the way but I can't change the unit my entry.
I can only choose mass, lenght and age.
I would like to make a chart of ml of milk a day that my baby is eating.

2. I made a new vaccination data table. How can I remove the original US table?

3. Program error?
On the delivery data I entered the day our baby was born. That was 17 days before the scheduled delivery. Even I entered the data that my baby was born, the counter still says my wife is pregnant for 39 weeks and 6 days??? Is that an error in the program or did I made an error?

2. This parameter is predefined and can't be deleted in the current version.
3. Thanks I was able to reproduce it. It will be fixed in the next build. Now you can use the following workaround. Set the due date to be before the birth date. Click ok in Baby editor. You will see the correct ticker. Open Baby editor again and set correct the due date. The ticker will be ok as well.
I will come with point 1. later.
Regards, Andrew Arov.

Thank you Andrew.
I hope it's possible to make my own charts!

The program error will be solved in the next release. Thanx!
Version 2.5 Build 560, will this version have a lot of changes?
Any news about the new things to come?

Thank you for your reply and keep up the good work. :D

One other problem I forgot to mention.

If I create a Web Book and after that I click on the View Book button, then nothing happens. Even when I go out and then I only use the View button also nothing happens.

If I check it manually it works, but there has not been an index file created.
So, if I click on HOME, I get "FILE NOT FOUND" message because the index file is missing.

I think there is also an error there.

Yes, it will be possible in the next build. Thank you for your idea to include units of volume as well. Probably I will come up with a beta version of this feature soon. And you will be able to test your own chart.

Version 2.5 Build 560, will this version have a lot of changes?
Any news about the new things to come?

We will include extended backup/restore functionality (please see some previous posts about this feature) Build 560 will have some new/updated translations as well. And new type of units :)

Thank you for your reply and keep up the good work. :D

Thanks a lot!
Regards, Andrew Arov.

Unfortunately I can't reproduce this. What is the name of your destination folder?

Do you have other htm files and 3 folders (Files, img, and Media) in your web book folder?

Thanks, I look forward to your translation (please post it on our forum first). Have you noticed that we alredy have Indonesian translation? Are you going to update the existing translation? Btw, we would appreciate a lot if you can share your own chart on the forum as well (we will update credits in the about dialog and documentation)

About the Indonesian language. Sorry I didn't see that.
What about German? I don't see that language.
The other languages I know you have already. (Dutch, French, English)

About the Web Book.
I have three directories.
It has been created in this directory: C:\Program Files\Baby Diary\WebBook
Already erased the complete directory and restarted again.
Still having the same problem.
I can't send you the files because my rar file is 510Kb and only 250Kb is allowed.
Just made a PrintScreen. I hope it will help.
I find it strange that you don't have the same problem?

Thanks for your screen. It helped me to realize your situation. It seems that probably you've redefined main page file name. I noticed the Timothy file. This file is your index.htm file. In order to fix it please place index.htm into Main Page name. In order to do this please select Main Menu > Tools > Options > Web books > Main Page name (see the screen shot below)

Please try build 550 where you can find this type of parameter (ml)

We've improved birth date/due date handling in build 550 by displaying a warning message if date of birth is greater t than todays' date. In this case Baby Diary thinks that ticker should work in pregnancy mode.
